Park View Hotel

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The high quality of the luxurious interior design corresponds to the architecture of the facades.

Dubai is going through an immense construction boom as part of its expansion into a services center. In the case of this five-star hotel, the site, which is close to the old town, is set back one row from the main road, but visible from afar. The disadvantages of the location are compensated for by the generously dimensioned grounds, which are to be transformed into a park.

The plain building with its trapezoidal footprint is very tranquil, as there is no point in it referencing its somewhat unexciting surroundings. Its unique character is highlighted by a glass double façade consisting of individual triangular elements that cite Arab patterns. In terms of its multi-layer structure, it does full justice to the climatic conditions prevailing in the Middle East. The eight-storey hotel wing houses 166 comfortable rooms of between 36 and 63 square meters in size.

The high quality of the luxurious interior design corresponds to the architecture of the facades. The key eye-catcher in the hotel will be the airy space above the lobby, which runs a full seven storeys high. The airy section culminates in a glass pool, whose water refracts the daylight. The mood inside the building is a marriage of relaxation and recreation.
