The plan is to erect multi-storey residential buildings on both sites.

Close to the River Main in Frankfurt in the popular Deutschherren district, several areas of which have undergone development over the last 20 years, two construction plots, Q2 and Q3, are still available. The plan is to erect multi-storey residential buildings on both sites. For plot Q2 on the corner of Gerbermühlstrasse/Zum Gipfelhof, Jo. Franzke Architekten is designing the “Main-Arkaden". It will be a six-storey apartment block with a set-back penthouse level constructed to the passivhaus standard and including a total of 108 apartments for rent – they will range in size from two to five rooms, with some maisonette apartments planned for the top floor.

The building forms the perimeter of the block and continues the colonnades of the neighboring development. In conjunction with the first floor, the line of colonnades forms the podium for three distinct building sections: the central building with the two-storey archway will be flanked to the right and left by buildings which lead to the side streets. The podium will be in natural stone and merges into a rendered facade.
